John Lawlor joined Vestcom in December 2008 as Chief Commercial Officer. As Chairman and CEO, Mr. Lawlor is focused on driving the vision for the company’s future growth, building on its expertise of content integration and history of innovation in execution at the shelf edge. Additionally, Mr. Lawlor will continue to enrich Vestcom’s business processing outsource model for today’s customer-centric retailer with expanded solutions for effective in-store communications that reduce the cost of doing business and engage the shopper.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Lawlor spent 14 years leading Best-in-Class marketing service organizations, including: Spectra Marketing (President & CEO), IPSOS-ASI (President – North America), and IRI (President-North American Client Solutions). In each of these roles, Mr. Lawlor led significant growth, innovation and client engagement initiatives focusing on the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Mr. Lawlor’s passion is in bringing innovative solutions that deliver competitive advantage for our clients.
Mr. Lawlor holds B.S. degrees in Economics and Biology from John Carroll University, and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Lawlor is a member of the Executive Forum, and a former member of the Advisory Committee to the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS).
After joining the company in 1991, Mr. McKenzie spearheaded the company's sales, new product development, and marketing efforts. His keen awareness of current trends and his ability to guide and develop profitable new products for his clients has contributed to Vestcom's reputation as the retail industry problem-solver. His leadership and creative efforts have helped increase sales and decrease operational costs for major retailers across the nation, including Target, Walgreens, and Kroger.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. McKenzie spent 12 years in leadership roles for companies including IBM as well as a partner at Computer Dynamics, known for their comprehensive suite of retail banking applications, specifically integrated, end-to-end solutions for mortgage banking applications, now part of Fidelity.
Mr. McKenzie holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Bob Bloom joined Vestcom in 2005. Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Bloom served as CFO, Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations for Acxiom Corporation from 1992 to 2005. Prior to joining Acxiom, Mr. Bloom was employed by Wilson Sporting Goods Co. and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Bloom is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mark Cherry served as CFO for EIS from 1996 to 1997. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Cherry was Vice President of Finance for Vestcom’s Retail Solutions division. Mr. Cherry has served as Vestcom’s Senior Vice President of Finance and administration since 2003, a capacity in which he oversees all accounting services. Prior to joining EIS in 1996, Mr. Cherry was employed for over twenty years by various manufacturers.
Clifton Cook is the driving force responsible for Vestcom’s breakout retail innovation efforts. After joining Vestcom in July, 1995 as Manager of Information Systems, his leadership skills and thorough understanding of the retail industry propelled him to the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer. He has led and guided all technology and innovation efforts since that time.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Cook worked for Frank Fletcher Co’s Ltd as IT Director.
Mr. Cook holds a B.S. in Data Processing and Quantitative Analysis from the University of Arkansas.
Steve Ulmschneider served as COO for EIS from 1993 to 1997. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Ulmschneider was Vice President and Director of Operations for Vestcom’s Retail Solutions division. Since 2003, Mr. Ulmschneider has served as Vestcom’s Senior Vice President of Service Bureau Operations, a capacity in which he oversees all outsourced services. Prior to joining EIS in 1993, Mr. Ulmschneider was employed for over 15 years by various specialty chemical companies.
Ed Horton joined Vestcom in 2008 and is responsible for Vestcom’s Integrated Shopper Marketing programs. His background includes 20+ years of sales, marketing and customer management in data, analytics, segmentation, database management and Customer Centric Marketing.
As Chief Marketing Officer of CognitiveData, Mr. Horton was responsible for sales, marketing, client services and alliances. He repositioned the company from data quality products to a strategic provider of Response Technology Solutions. As a member of Acxiom Corporation’s Company Leadership Team, Mr. Horton was responsible for the development and execution of Acxiom’s global marketing and alliance initiatives. As a sales and marketing executive, Mr. Horton helped the company grow from $20 million in revenue to a $1.3 billion company with 7,000 associates.
Mr. Horton is a graduate of the New York University graduate school of direct marketing, and has a bachelor’s degree in data processing and quantitative analysis from the University of Arkansas.
Jeff Weidauer joined Vestcom in 2008. Mr. Weidauer brings to Vestcom three decades of in-depth retail marketing and advertising experience. He was director of corporate advertising for Boise, ID-based Albertsons, managing every aspect of the organization’s advertising efforts through all media channels, and also assisting in the launch of loyalty campaigns nationwide. With Supervalu’s acquisition of the Albertsons chain, Mr. Weidauer became director of brand advertising at Supervalu, with responsibilities that included brand development, strategic planning, ethnic marketing, and overseeing the entire ad budget.
Mr. Weidauer holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands, Redlands, CA, and a Certificate in Food Industry Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
Tim Kohlmeyer joined Vestcom in 2003 as Vice President of Customer Relations. He is responsible for customer engagement and support services activities at Vestcom including the Customer Service support teams, the Project Management Office, rotary Customer Service, and the ISMAds support team. The Customer Relations teams are also actively engaged in supporting new customer on-boarding, customer conversions and major project initiatives.
Mr. Kohlmeyer comes to Vestcom from ALLTEL Information Services, Inc. During his 21 years at ALLTEL (previously Systematics, Inc.) Mr. Kohlmeyer worked in a variety of management roles in programming, data center management, professional services and outsourcing sales support.
Mr. Kohlmeyer earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. He also holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri.
Ms. Hays joined Vestcom in 2005, and brings over 20 years of legal experience. She served as Senior Associate Attorney for the Rose Law Firm, subsequently becoming Deputy City Attorney for the city of Little Rock, AR. Ms. Hays has served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Arkansas, as well as the Bowen School of Law. She has twice been appointed to serve as Special Associate Justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court, and was appointed in 2001 to serve as Pulaski County Municipal Judge.
Ms. Hays is a summa cum laude graduate of Truman State University, and received her J.D. from UALR Bowen School of Law, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class, and served as the Managing Editor of the UALR Law Journal.
Ms. Fox brings over 16 years of HR experience to Vestcom. She has worked in a wide variety of industries and joined the Vestcom Leadership Team in 2007. Ms. Fox manages all aspects of the Human Resource function including associate recognition and development programs, recruitment, training and development, organizational development, compliance, employee relations, safety, benefits, wellness, compensation, and corporate communication.
Ms. Fox received her B.S. from UCA and her Masters of Applied Psychology degree from UALR. She achieved her Employment Law Certification from Drake University and her P.H.R. (Professional in Human Resources) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
