Scott Aten joined Vestcom in 2011, bringing a wealth of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Lean/Best Practices. Since that time, Mr. Aten has greatly enhanced Vestcom’s operational performance by reducing costs and improving the quality and performance of Vestcom’s suppliers.
Previously holding a leadership operations position with Brown Printing Company, Mr. Aten has brought his expertise to Vestcom to help streamline the output of all facilities and ensure equipment continues to run at optimal capacity.
Mr. Aten earned his MBA from the University of West Florida and his Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical Engineering) from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
John Lawlor joined Vestcom in December 2008 as Chief Commercial Officer, and was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in November 2009. Mr. Lawlor is focused on driving the vision for the company’s future growth, building on its expertise of content integration and history of innovation in execution at the shelf edge.
Since his tenure began at Vestcom, the company has significantly increased its footprint across retail channels, and continues to enrich its core BPO model for today’s customer-centric retailer through expanded solutions for effective in-store communications that reduce the cost of doing business and engage the shopper.
In 2012, Mr. Lawlor led the successful sale of Vestcom to Court Square Capital Partners.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Lawlor spent 14 years leading Best-in-Class marketing service organizations, including: Spectra Marketing (President & CEO), IPSOS-ASI (President – North America), and IRI (President–North American Client Solutions). In each of these roles, Mr. Lawlor led significant growth, innovation and client engagement initiatives, focusing on the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Mr. Lawlor has twice been named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist (2011 & 2013).
Mr. Lawlor holds B.S. degrees in Economics and Biology from John Carroll University, and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of the workplace, Mr. Lawlor is a member of the Executive Forum (past Board Member), and serves on the Board of the Easter Seals of Arkansas, and the College of Business at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Mr. Lawlor is happily married with three children and is a competitive road cyclist.
George Wishart joined Vestcom in 2011 to head up Vestcom's sales, marketing, and product management teams. As Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Wishart's in-depth knowledge and marketing insight raises Vestcom's leadership position in the retail industry to a new pinnacle.
Mr. Wishart garnered his decades of retail marketing, research and advertising
experience in the classic way:
He held marketing and business director positions with Kraft Foods, including the role of President of Jacob Suchard International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kraft Foods. Prior to Kraft, Mr. Wishart held key positions in several leading advertising agencies, including the international powerhouses, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Mr. Wishart also served as Global Managing Director of Nielsen In-Store, where he spearheaded efforts to provide In-Store Insights to the retail industry, as well as to Nielsen's roster of clients. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious industry Media Mavens Award by Advertising Age magazine. Subsequently, Ad Age commissioned him to author the groundbreaking industry white paper entitled, Shopper Marketing: Why Marketers Need to Pay Attention to What's Happening in the Aisles, published in 2010.
After joining the company in 1991, Mr. McKenzie spearheaded the company's sales, new product development, and marketing efforts. His keen awareness of current trends and his ability to guide and develop profitable new products for his clients has contributed to Vestcom's reputation as the retail industry problem-solver. His leadership and creative efforts have helped increase sales and decrease operational costs for major retailers across the nation.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. McKenzie spent 12 years in leadership roles for companies including IBM as well as a partner at Computer Dynamics, known for their comprehensive suite of retail banking applications, specifically integrated, end-to-end solutions for mortgage banking applications, now part of Fidelity.
Mr. McKenzie holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
Shannon Palmer joined Vestcom in August 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Palmer leads Vestcom’s finance, operations and HR functions while spearheading our economic strategy to support new growth initiatives centered on innovations in data integration and marketing services for retailers and national brands.
He brings 19 years of experience at private equity-backed manufacturing and distribution companies, including vice president and CFO of Lincoln Holdings Enterprises, and portfolio companies of Harbour Group, Windjammer Capital and Gridiron Capital. Prior to that, Mr. Palmer also held positions ranging from financial analyst to controller at several portfolio companies owned by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Mills & Partners.
Mr. Palmer holds a bachelor of science degree from Truman State University in accounting.
Clifton Cook is the driving force responsible for Vestcom’s breakout retail innovation efforts. After joining Vestcom in July, 1995 as Manager of Information Systems, his leadership skills and thorough understanding of the retail industry propelled him to the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. He has led and guided all technology and innovation efforts since that time.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Cook worked for Frank Fletcher Co’s Ltd as IT Director.
Mr. Cook holds a B.S. in Data Processing and Quantitative Analysis from the University of Arkansas.
Paul Brooking brings more than 27 years of technology experience, operational management knowledge, and expert solutions development to Vestcom's leadership team. During his nearly 20 years at Vestcom, Mr. Brooking has applied his unique brand of creative thinking to lead dozens of high level customer data solutions launches, post-M&A business integration initiatives, and numerous mission-critical enterprise IT system and network infrastructure upgrades. Mr. Brooking has been a key contributor to Vestcom's success and growth.
As senior vice president of Vestcom's Client Solutions and Technology, Mr. Brooking leads his team to work closely with new and existing clients, designing and implementing solutions to meet the ever changing retail marketing challenges. Mr. Brooking also oversees the internal around the clock, day-to-day processing of the customer's data services, database development and varying aspects of programming support services.
Mr. Brooking began his career as a guidance and control engineer for McDonnell Douglas Corporation working on cruise missile and advance products. He holds an electrical engineering degree from Marquette University, an MBA from Washington University and is a certified PMP from the Project Management Institute.
Darrel Risberg is responsible for client engagement and market development. He joined Vestcom in 1998 as an Account Executive and has served an instrumental role in driving the company’s current success through his abilities to interface directly with clients as a strategic partner in the development of high impact solutions. Mr. Risberg’s dedication to the task and relentless pursuit of excellence in client service resulted in his promotion to Vice President of Sales in 2005, and Senior Vice President in 2007.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Risberg spent over a decade in key sales management roles for Fortune 250 companies Shaw Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. company, and R.R. Donnelley (Moore Document Solutions).
Mr. Risberg holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Jeff Weidauer joined Vestcom in 2008. Mr. Weidauer brings to Vestcom three decades of in-depth retail marketing and advertising experience. He was director of corporate advertising for Boise, ID-based Albertsons, managing every aspect of the organization’s advertising efforts through all media channels, and also assisting in the launch of loyalty campaigns nationwide. With Supervalu’s acquisition of the Albertsons chain, Mr. Weidauer became director of brand advertising at Supervalu, with responsibilities that included brand development, strategic planning, ethnic marketing, and overseeing the entire ad budget.
Mr. Weidauer holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands, Redlands, CA, and a Certificate in Food Industry Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
Bob Wallis joined Vestcom in 2009 as a seasoned technology leader with more than 29 years of IT experience. During his lengthy professional career, Mr. Wallis has led solution innovation teams as well as product development and delivery teams. His experience spans multiple industries, including petroleum exploration, cartography, satellite communications, defense systems, and consumer marketing, with significant concentration on the information products business.
Mr. Wallis’s leadership has helped Vestcom spearhead highly strategic sales and product innovations. Through his unique insights into content and data marketing, as well as his instrumental leadership in the highly successful launch of healthyAisles® Mr. Wallis has contributed significantly to Vestcom's success and growth.
As Vestcom's Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, Mr. Wallis is responsible for development and delivery of all Vestcom solutions. His teams design and implement platforms that meet ever-changing retail marketing challenges while delivering the high quality services our clients expect.
Mr. Wallis holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas.
As an innovative catalyst for consistent performance improvement, Elaina Jeavons brings big-picture insight to every facet of the organization. Her ability to integrate human resources into Vestcom's overall business strategy makes her an invaluable asset in the growth of the company.
Since joining Vestcom in 2010, she has realigned recruiting and development strategy to better develop talent. Her vision and performance-focused professionalism have helped drive initiatives, build organizational infrastructure, and deliver measurable results.
Prior to joining Vestcom, Ms. Jeavons held progressively responsible HR leadership positions for large corporations, including Director, Human Resources for TECO-Westinghouse US/Canada, an international manufacturer of industrial motors, and Director, Human Resources for Danisco USA and Danisco Canada, an international functional food ingredient manufacturer.
Ms. Jeavons holds a BA degree in Human Resources Management from Ottawa University in Kansas.
David Lewis joined Vestcom in 2011 as an Operations leader with more than 20 years experience managing operations for large manufacturing organizations, distribution centers and client service teams.
Mr. Lewis's leadership has helped Vestcom grow by helping to expand our distributive print model across the US. Mr. Lewis has been instrumental in building Vestcom's high-performance site-level teams and as Vice President of Service Bureau Operations, he is responsible for the delivery of finished product solutions and consistent superior results for our Clients.
Mr. Lewis holds a Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Management from Bethel University.
Kent Weiand joined Vestcom in 2007. For more than 20 years he has developed award-winning software solutions with a litany of famous-name software companies, including founding a multimillion-dollar-per-year software powerhouse, later acquired by Stewart Information Services.
Mr. Weiand has held key roles at Vestcom as a senior software engineer and architect in the latest generation enterprise-wide production platform.
Mr. Weiand was instrumental in the creation and leadership of Vestcom’s Process Quality Assurance Team. His most recent focus on enhanced client experience and quality has put him squarely at the leadership helm of Vestcom’s consolidated Client Services Group.
As an honored advisor on UALR’s Computer Science Advisory Council at UALR, Mr. Weiand’s software education contributions are well known. He attended Arkansas College (now Lyons College).
Brett Holiman joined Vestcom in 2004, and has consistently contributed to the company’s growth while driving strategic sales initiatives for his clients. He has held a number of leadership roles in the company, including Director of Sales, Senior Director - Merchandising Solutions, and Vice President – Sales, South Region.
Mr. Holiman currently serves as Vice President, Business Development, leading the Business Development Team in growth initiatives within new market segments, while advancing strategic goals for existing clients. Prior to joining Vestcom, Mr. Holiman spent over 20 years in finance and business development, having dealt with large international companies both domestically and abroad.
Mr. Holiman holds a B.S. degree in biology from Baylor University, and an MBA from the University of Arkansas, with an emphasis in Finance, as well as Data processing and Quantitative Analysis.
Mike Paley joined Vestcom in 2016. Mike has extensive experience in Shopper Marketing, Digital and Experiential working on leading brands and for retailers. Mr. Paley is responsible for the exponential growth of our ISMAds® solution and expansion of our retail and CPG network.
Previously he served as Executive Vice President at the Marketing Arm, part of Omnicom, where he was responsible for defining and creating shopper infrastructure and strategies across the company's client base. Prior to that Mr. Paley was Chief Marketing Officer for Square One Advertising, a Dallas-based advertising agency, where he focused on shopper marketing, strategy and brand planning, and consumer and customer insights for brands.
Mr. Paley is a Charter Member of the Google Shopper Marketing Agency Council and a judge for the Shopper Marketing Effies. Under his lead, TMA was named in HUB Top 20 and designated "Who's Who in Shopper Marketing" by Shopper Marketing Magazine.
Mr. Paley graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Sports Marketing and Event Management.
